Description

Deliciously cheesy and buttery Hawaiian rolls, perfect for a quick snack or party treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 pack (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 68 slices cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 23 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Keeping the rolls connected, slice the entire pack in half horizontally.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the skillet.
  4. Layer cheese slices evenly across the surface.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls back on and gently press down.
  6. Spread softened butter over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cook for 3–4 minutes until bottoms are golden brown, then carefully flip the block over.
  8. Cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from pan, slice into individual sandwiches, and serve warm.

Notes

  • This recipe can be customized with different types of cheese or additional ingredients such as cooked meats or vegetables.
  • For a crispy top, broil the sandwiches for an additional minute after cooking.
