Description
This bourbon chicken and shrimp dish is a perfect blend of flavors, served hot over rice or pasta.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lbs)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook seasoned chicken in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir well and cook until shrimp is pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over rice or pasta.
Notes
- This dish can be adjusted with the level of cayenne pepper for spice preference.
- For an extra kick, consider adding some red pepper flakes.
