Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar

  • 6 cups Oyster Crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and brown sugar, stirring continuously until melted and dissolved.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and add vanilla extract and baking soda, stirring well.
  4. Transfer oyster crackers to a large bowl and pour the caramel sauce over them, folding gently to coat.
  5. Spread the coated crackers evenly on the prepared sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
