- 1 pound ground chicken (Ensure it is Halal-compliant)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- to taste fresh basil for garnish (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray and gently press each wonton wrapper into the muffin cups, creating a small ‘cup’ shape.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground chicken until it’s fully cooked and no longer pink. Season it with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in the marinara sauce with the cooked chicken, ensuring all the meat is coated in the sauce.
- Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture into each wonton cup.
- Sprinkle a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top of each filled cup.
- Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the wontons are golden brown.
- Once done, remove the cups from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
