Description
A delicious apple galette made with Honeycrisp apples, sweetened with sugar and honey, and perfectly spiced with cinnamon.

- 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 large Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
Instructions
- Roll out the pie dough into a 12-inch circle on parchment paper and place on a baking sheet. Chill while preparing apples.
- In a large bowl, toss thinly sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Arrange apple slices on the dough, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold edges of dough over the apples, overlapping and pleating as needed.
- Brush crust with beaten egg and sprinkle entire galette with turbinado sugar.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40–45 minutes until apples are tender and crust is golden.
- Cool slightly and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- For best results, use Honeycrisp apples for their flavor and texture.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
