- 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
- Peel and dice apples into small pieces; toss with cinnamon and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden.
- Let cookies cool slightly on the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the warm cookies and serve.
