Description

A delicious chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and maraschino cherries.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups freshly whipped cream
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan with non-stick spray, lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar until blended.
  3. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the eggs, milk, and vegetable oil. Stir until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting with whipped cream and topping with maraschino cherries.
