- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and mix in brown sugar until glossy.
- Stir in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
- Sift together flour and salt in a separate bowl, then fold into the wet mixture gently.
- Add butterscotch chips and mix until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
- These squares are best served after they have cooled completely for at least an hour.
- For added texture, consider sprinkling some chopped nuts on top before baking.
