Description

Delicious apple cheesecake bars with a graham cracker crust and caramel drizzle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Graham Crackers (Crushed)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (Melted)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 16 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3 cups Apples (Sliced, a mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 cup Caramel Sauce (Store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish for a sturdy base.
  3. Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and fragrant. Allow it to cool slightly while you prepare the cheesecake filling.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until well combined and fluffy.
  5. Pour the creamy cheesecake mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss them until well coated.
  7. Distribute the spiced apple mixture evenly over the cheesecake filling.
  8. Place the dish back in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes. The cheesecake should be set around the edges but slightly jiggly in the center.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely, then drizzle caramel sauce generously over the top.
  10. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before slicing for cleaner cuts and enhanced flavor.

Notes
