- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 (16 oz) package fresh or store-bought gnocchi
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- Increase heat slightly and add ground beef; cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Boil salted water in a separate pot and cook gnocchi according to package instructions (until they float).
- Drain gnocchi and gently fold them into the meat sauce; simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Gnocchi can be served with a sprinkle of additional Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs for garnish.
